Job summary

SMBC is seeking a highly skilled Agile Project Manager to oversee and optimize program-level delivery across our Capital Markets Front Office Technology organization. You will drive end-to-end delivery of strategic technology initiatives, partnering with Technology, Product, Trading, Sales, and Compliance to ensure alignment with regulatory and business objectives.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience in project management, program management, Agile delivery or portfolio management roles.
• Experience delivering Front Office technology initiatives within Capital Markets, Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives, or related business domains is highly desirable.
• The candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe, and Lean delivery practice as well as governance frameworks, stakeholder management, dependency management, and delivery reporting.
• Experience with enterprise delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, ServiceNow SPM, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Strong executive communication skills and a proven ability to coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives are essential.

Responsibilities

• The Agile Project Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of multiple strategic technology initiatives across the Capital Markets Front Office portfolio.
• The role promotes continuous improvement by leveraging Agile metrics and delivery insight.
• The individual builds strong partnerships with Front Office business leaders, product owners, traders, sales teams, and technology leadership.
• The role ensures governance, planning, risk management, and status reporting across workstreams.
