Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Agentic Automations Engineer in San Diego to advance enterprise automation through AI-driven agents. The role centers on defining standards and architecting scalable automation solutions across global teams.

You will lead delivery of agentic automation, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure secure, compliant integrations using Docker and Kubernetes in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of software engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement automation standards for agentic workflows across the enterprise.
• Lead the technical delivery of agentic automation solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
• Serve as the technical lead for a global, matrixed team (no direct reports), providing guidance and mentorship.
• Design and develop AI-driven agents, enterprise-grade chatbots, MCP servers, and workflow engines.
• Integrate and extend existing RPA platforms into agentic automation frameworks.
• Build and deploy solutions using Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process optimization opportunities and leverage process mining techniques.
• Ensure secure integration with enterprise systems, adhering to authentication and authorization best practices.
