Job summary

Vanguard seeks a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to drive AI-powered experiences across Corporate Communications and enterprise platforms. You’ll blend cloud, data, and Generative AI to deliver scalable search, knowledge discovery, and automation across the organization.

This highly visible role shapes architecture, guides technical strategy, mentors engineers, and collaborates with product and business teams to unlock value from AI-driven insights and information.

Qualifications

• 8+ years related work experience with at least 2 years in development.
• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of AWS design and development.
• Strong cloud architecture, automation, CI/CD, and DevOps knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience building Generative AI apps using AWS Bedrock, LLMs, RAG.
• End-to-end ETL expertise with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena).
• Experience integrating cloud/AI with enterprise apps and APIs.
• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade cloud, data, and AI solutions.
• Develop Agentic AI apps using AWS Bedrock, LLMs, RAG, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Design intelligent search and knowledge retrieval for enterprise content.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
• Create reusable services, APIs, automation frameworks, and cloud-native capabilities.
• Drive architecture decisions and establish best practices across cloud/AI initiatives.
• Implement IaC and modern DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to identify high-value AI opportunities.
• Ensure security, governance, scalability, reliability, and performance standards.
• Mentor engineers and serve as technical leader across initiatives.
