Job summary

JCB, a global leader in construction equipment, seeks a Purchasing Manager to oversee the domestic sourcing function from San Antonio. You will lead the Purchasing team, monitor KPIs, negotiate pricing, and collaborate with Group Purchasing to secure quality materials per engineering specs.

You will drive cost savings, set up schedule agreements, and work with planning and NPI teams to ensure timely launches.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or BA Business required.
• 5+ years purchasing experience required.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Manage team of Operational Buyers and the Government and Defense / Attachment Buyer.
• Monitor team KPIs and generate weekly reports.
• Collaborate with Group Purchasing to support JCB Service including pricing, lead times, MOQs, and key purchasing responsibilities.
• Negotiate NA domestic pricing and process/approve price change requests.
• Pursue cost savings opportunities to meet group goals.
• Create new schedule agreements and extend part numbers in SAP.
• Coordinate with planning to address supplier challenges and with NPI to ensure service readiness for new products.
