Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking a Senior AFSIM Analyst to evaluate and define solutions for enabling U.S. military strike warfare and air combat operations in complex environments. You will join a team that supports diverse sponsors and tackles challenging technical problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated excellence working with AFSIM for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge in Air or Strike Warfare domains.
  • Ability to obtain the associated Special Access Program (SAP) level access and Interim Secret clearance; eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and analyze models and concepts of employment for groundbreaking technologies such as advanced air platforms, strike weapons, and integrated multi-domain effects.
  • Collaborate with software development teams on improving customized tools, data representations, and automation of production analysis pipelines.
  • Work with a team of analysts and senior engineers to guide the direction of analysis.
  • Engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and initiative.
