Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. AFRL Program Leader to serve as the customer interface, overseeing technology development programs and mission development with AFRL and Space Force.

You will coordinate with diverse teams to solve complex problems and ensure successful demonstrations and prototypes. The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, liaising with senior leaders, and delivering strategic analyses and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering or program management.
• Demonstrated leadership within a program office or matrixed technical organization.
• Ability to work with senior customer personnel in a field-office environment.
• Leadership experience in leading project teams and ensuring product quality.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Aerospace expertise to provide recommendations to Space Force and AFRL leadership.
• Lead, communicate and coordinate across organizations and customers for delivery of strategies and analyses.
• Coordinate virtual teaming and matrixed engagement to execute mission portfolio.
• Lead diverse teams including military personnel, government civilians, prime contractors, and labs.
• Work with aerospace employees and government customers on AFRL space and ground experiments.
• Engage in customer senior decision forums to elevate Aerospace’s strategic value.
