Job summary

DECRO, a California nonprofit affordable housing developer, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee all stages of development for a portfolio of three to four projects. The role reports to the CEO/CRDO and leads a multidisciplinary team through feasibility, financing, entitlements, construction, lease‑up, and transition to operations, while engaging public agencies and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive real estate development experience, with affordable housing preferred.
• Experience managing multiple complex development projects through milestones.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing finance, LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, subsidies.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication with executive leadership and boards.
• Ability to lead and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy, site acquisition and feasibility.
• Coordinate public approvals, entitlements, and community engagement.
• Oversee preconstruction, construction and cost management.
• Manage closeout, lease-up and transition to operations.
• Provide clear project reporting to executive leadership and Board.
• Supervise development staff and foster a collaborative team culture.
