iWorld Professionals in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist for our client in Queens. This onsite role focuses on supporting lease-ups, evaluating eligibility, and ensuring compliance with HUD, state, and local housing rules.

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience. The ideal candidate will review income certifications, maintain accurate applicant files, and coordinate with compliance teams to meet occupancy goals, while navigating NYC

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of NYC affordable housing experience.
• Familiarity with HUD requirements and Section 8 subsidies.
• Knowledge of NYC housing programs such as CAPS, EIV, ESSHI preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple applicant files and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Housing Connect 2.0 and Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for applicants through eligibility review and leasing.
• Prequalify and interview applicants; collect income and other documentation.
• Prepare complete income certification packages for review by compliance teams.
• Resolve file deficiencies and track outstanding documentation for timely approvals.
• Maintain compliance with affordable housing program requirements and confidentiality standards.
• Manage waiting lists, applicant referrals, and required screenings including CAPS and EIV.
• Support apartment showings, lease preparation, subsidy documentation, and move-in coordination.
• Monitor vacancies and applicant progress; lead weekly vacancy meetings with teams.
• Maintain records in Housing Connect 2.0, Affordable Rent Café, Yardi, and other systems.
• Onsite work five days per week in Queens.
