Job summary

The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. is seeking a Leasing & Compliance Assistant to support the Leasing and Compliance Department.

This on-site role focuses on handling housing inquiries, maintaining a high occupancy rate, and ensuring compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and subsidy guidelines. Candidates should have a High School diploma, at least 2 years of experience in NYC’s affordable housing market, and familiarity with HUD programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NYC’s affordable housing real estate market, with expertise in leasing and compliance, affordable housing programs, income certifications, and related areas.
• Familiarity with HUD, Homeless programs, and Section 8 subsidy required.
• Working knowledge of NYC’s supportive housing application (2010E) required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to housing inquiries and maintain high occupancy across portfolio.
• Create mail merges and track applicant responses.
• Schedule interviews and assist with eligibility interviews.
• Enter information into the property management database and finalize leasing/subsidy paperwork.
• Assist with Housing Connect log tracking and lease-up activities.
