Job summary

Voiceflow is seeking a Sr. Valves and Actuators Engineer to design and qualify various valve designs for the Nova launch vehicle. You will work in a collaborative team environment to create reliable and manufacturable designs, focusing on enhancing the scalability and sustainability of space transportation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with extensive experience in aerospace or industrial valve design. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage fast-paced projects are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design, build, and testing of valves for aerospace or industrial applications.
• Exceptional command of fundamentals, including compressible flow, thermodynamics, structures, control systems, cryogenics, and instrumentation.
• Understanding of aerospace standard fasteners, seals, tubing, fittings, and commercial off the shelf hardware.

Responsibilities

• Collect design requirements from multidisciplinary teams and create concepts for valves and actuators.
• Design components for use on Nova launch vehicle, model parts using Siemens NX.
• Perform structural analysis on components using hand calculations and FEA software.

Skills

Design for manufacturing best practices

Hands-on experience in fabrication and assembly
