Job summary

Albers Aerospace is seeking an experienced Aerospace Structural Engineer to join our advanced jet propulsion team in Cincinnati, OH. You will design, analyze, and validate primary and secondary structural components for propulsion and airframe mounting systems, ensuring strength, stiffness, weight, and durability while collaborating with materials, manufacturing and testing teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
5+ years of aerospace structural analysis and design experience.

Responsibilities

Perform linear/non-linear stress, buckling, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses on metallic/composite structures.
Build and validate FEM models using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus.
Design and modify 3D drawings using CATIA or Siemens NX per GD&T standards.
Define test plans, oversee structural tests, correlate data to models.
Collaborate with aerodynamics, thermal, and manufacturing teams to optimize weight/performance.
Lead mechanical design of complex assemblies (enclosures, mounting structures, thermal solutions).
Support hardware integration and troubleshooting during lab/field testing.
Support MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification.
Contribute to design-for-manufacturability/assembly and test planning.
Prepare technical reports and support proposals.
