Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks a seasoned software engineer to maintain and extend an ASR C++ code base for ground station and drone operations in San Diego. You will develop new algorithms, extend the communications protocol, and contribute to software architecture and engineering processes.

Candidates should have strong C++ skills, Linux experience, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Experience with Agile and aerospace software processes is valued, as is familiarity with POSIX libraries

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Proficient in C++ with strong STL knowledge and memory management.
• Front-end web tech: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Back-end development with Python.
• Android development using Java or Kotlin.
• Strong OO design and math/physics background.
• Experience with Linux, POSIX, and cross-platform development.
• Ability to work independently under pressure; familiar with Agile and aerospace domains.
• U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
