BARNES AEROSPACE MRO in Arkansas City, KS seeks a Senior Repair Development Engineer to lead repair development and validation of aerospace components. Ideal candidates have DER authority or experience with FAA DER processes and will support aftermarket operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

10+ years of aftermarket repair development experience in aerospace and aeroderivative markets.
FAA DER accreditation or experience working directly with FAA DER highly desired.
Experience with 3D CAD applications (Mastercam preferred) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Owns product and process development for complex repair initiatives.
Develops project plans and coordinates stages with customers/OEMs.
Supports quoting of new repair and development projects.
Leads projects to achieve quality and on-time delivery.
Supports hand-off to operations during low-rate production with clear work instructions.
Drives proactive risk reduction across safety, delivery, and productivity.
