Job summary

RTCA in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector II-III to join our precision aerospace and defense manufacturing team. The role covers inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.

You will interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T, verify AS9100/ISO9001 requirements, document results, and collaborate across Production, Engineering and Quality to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace quality inspection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on materials and parts.
• Interpret drawings and specs per ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Verify conformance to AS9100/ISO standards.
• Maintain inspection records and traceability.
• Support FAI and AS9102 documentation.
• Identify nonconforming conditions and coordinate containment.
• Mentor junior inspectors as needed.
