Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead investigations into internal, supplier, and customer quality issues within aerospace manufacturing.

You will drive root cause analysis, nonconformance resolution, MRB activities, and corrective actions across cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes AS9100, FAA/Nadcap compliance, data analysis, and the development of inspection and process controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8–10 years quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with corrective action systems, MRB, audits, and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of quality issues, including nonconformances and corrective actions.
• Support MRB activities and disposition nonconforming material.
• Analyze data to drive continuous improvement and reduce defects.
• Develop inspection plans, quality controls, and process controls.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to improve quality and performance.
• Support product/process validation and qualification activities.
• Review contracts, drawings, and customer requirements for quality flow down.
• Serve as primary quality interface for customers and audits.
• Support audits (internal, customer, FAA, Nadcap, AS9100) and ensure timely closure.
• Provide quality leadership and training to sustain QMS effectiveness.
