Job summary

Xanfab Space in SeaTac, WA seeks a mid- to senior-level Manufacturing Engineer to drive the customer experience—focusing on quality and on-time delivery—and provide hands-on shop floor leadership in a PCB assembly environment.

This role requires deep technical ownership, process development, custom fixture design, and the ability to lead and develop a team while resolving issues directly with customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, including people management, process improvement, and manufacturing engineering, with direct experience in aerospace/defense electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with PCB assembly processes (SMT and/or through-hole), soldering to IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience designing and building custom fixtures or automated equipment
• Working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems, including nonconformance and corrective action processes
• Ability to read and interpret PCB designs (ODB, BOMs, drawings) for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Production process development, improvement, and automation.
• Custom fixture and machine design/build, and other programming.
• Customer issue resolution and root cause investigation.
• Champion Lean/continuous improvement across the shop floor.
• Lead shop floor engineering support and mentor production staff.
• Own Quality Process Development per AS9100 and support internal audits.
