Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical Systems to drive design and analysis of gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication for turbofan, turboshaft, and APU applications. You will support fielded products and develop new ones with a focus on performance and reliability.

The role reports to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager; requires 6+ years in aerospace mechanical design and 3+ years with Mechanical Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical design and analysis experience in aerospace components.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Mechanical Systems including gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME to independently complete design and analysis tasks for Bearings within engines and power system applications; perform life, fit, and clearance analyses.
• Lead design and analysis activities for Mechanical Systems in engines and power systems; coordinate 1–2 contributors; oversee artifacts and program deliverables.
