RTX Compression Systems Engineering is seeking a motivated mechanical/aerospace engineer to design gas turbine engine parts and support fuel, hydraulic, lubrication, and air management systems. The role involves cross-disciplinary work, tolerance analysis, and coaching junior staff.

Required is a Bachelor or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 8+ years of experience (5+ with advanced degree), and proficiency in English. Hybrid role with travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or advanced degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components for gas turbine engines and subsystems.
• Interpret and review tolerances on part drawings; perform tolerance analysis.
• Develop design solutions within program milestones respecting cost, weight and quality.
• Use CAD/CAE tools to deliver robust engine hardware designs.
• Lead or coach junior staff and coordinate with cross-discipline teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers; provide technical documentation as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and provide guidance through the product life cycle.
