Whippany Actuation Systems LLC seeks a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace) to drive design from concept through detailed development for high-precision actuators used in military and commercial programs.

You will perform advanced stress analyses, optimize for manufacturability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance and schedule targets while ensuring quality and reliability across aerospace-grade materials and processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited program.
• 5 years of engineering experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
• Proven problem-solving ability with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience using CREO and CAD; MS Office proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop products from concept to detailed design.
• Conduct stress analyses such as gear bending, fatigue and FEA.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and ease of assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to meet requirements.
• Support manufacturing, tooling, and aftermarket needs.
• Review requirements and ensure schedules are met.
