Job summary

Samson Rose seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing and production scale-up for an autonomous VTOL aircraft. You will design tooling, standardize build processes, and set up shop floor infrastructure as LRIP progresses toward production.

You will work closely with design and flight test teams, and in LRIP you’ll also serve as a part-time technician building aircraft and supporting flight tests at range locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or vehicle fabrication in aerospace, automotive, marine, or robotics.
• Hands-on fabrication experience with composites and metals; experience with fixtures and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing, assembly, and scaling strategies for current aircraft and future variants.
• Serve as a part-time technician during LRIP, physically building and assembling aircraft.
• Design, prototype, and implement tooling and fixtures for fabrication, assembly, and test.
• Create and maintain clear work instructions and quality standards.
• Own shop floor layout setup and production line infrastructure; drive cost and buildability improvements.
