Job summary

Firestorm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Specialist to close the gap between design engineering and the shop floor. You will turn CAD drawings and BOMs into production-ready routing, travelers, and work instructions, while working hands-on with a torque wrench and on first builds to identify and fix issues.

You'll own manufacturing processes from NPI through rate production, draft tooling and fixtures, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure conformance to

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on aircraft manufacturing experience.
• Ability to create production-ready manufacturing planning documents.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and QA inspection.
• Reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOM structures.

Responsibilities

• Translate released engineering data into routings, travelers, and BOMs.
• Develop step-level work instructions linked to CAD data.
• Design and implement tooling, jigs, fixtures and gages.
• Lead first article builds, capture deviations, drive redlines to closure.
• Create and optimize manufacturing cells to meet target rates.
• Collaborate with Quality on inspections and nonconformance disposition.
• Train technicians on documented methods and ensure correct execution.
