Job summary

Eaton Corporation's IS AER ITD division seeks an Aerospace Design Engineering Specialist - Interconnect Products in Camarillo, CA or City of Industry, CA. The role focuses on EWIS components, change leadership via COs, and comprehensive lifecycle engineering support.

Required five years in interconnect product development and proven experience with 8D/RedX problem solving, product qualification, and ACES standards application. U.S. export control eligibility is mandatory for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in interconnect product development, analysis and test.
• Experience leading programs and coaching peers/junior engineers.
• Experience in failure investigations using formal tools (8D/RedX).
• Experience leading product qualification programs for mechanical/electrical products.
• Experience drafting compliance matrices and test plans/procedures.
• U.S. export control eligibility and willingness to comply with ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight in design/analysis/test of EWIS components for aerospace, industrial, and military applications.
• Lead change management through COs using Enovia PLM.
• Review engineering deliverables and guide requirements management.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach cross-functional teams.
• Lead RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead MRB reviews of discrepant hardware and functional assessments.
• Apply ACES standards across projects within PROLaunch framework.
• Support ITAR/EAR regulatory assessments and participate in industry committees.
