Job summary

Trusted Space, LLC is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to design, implement, and validate orbit-based algorithms for an autonomy product across Earth-centered and cislunar dynamics. You will work hybrid, contributing to mission workflows and cross-functional development in an Agile team.

The role requires 8+ years in modeling and simulation, hands-on experience with Basilisk/Orekit/GMAT, and strong collaboration with software engineers. A TS/SCI capability is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of modeling & simulation, mission dynamics, or test engineering.
• Experience developing and validating aerospace or space-domain models (orbital, attitude, sensor geometry).
• Hands-on proficiency with simulation environments and mission environment simulations.
• Ability to collaborate with autonomy and software teams in Agile workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine aerospace mission-dynamics and space-domain models for the autonomy product.
• Collaborate with autonomy and software engineers to validate orbit algorithm outputs and models.
• Generate mission scenario configurations for reference missions and testing.
• Contribute aerospace artifacts to documentation, training materials, and presentations.
