Sierra Nevada Corporation in Lone Tree, Colorado seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer to lead the design, development and testing of advanced aerospace systems. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, oversee rigorous validation tests, and act as an SME during design reviews and technical discussions.

The role emphasizes engineering best practices, collaboration with clients and partners, and pursuing innovations to exceed customer expectations. This is an in-office position with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Understanding of CFD and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the development of complex aerospace systems.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Oversee comprehensive analysis and validation testing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Develop and implement engineering best practices and standards.
• Foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and improvement.
