Job summary

Answer Engineering, part of Re:Build Manufacturing, seeks an Experienced Design Engineer to lead aerospace structure design and to guide teams through full program cycles. You will use multiple CAD tools to convert concepts into tangible models and participate in cross-disciplinary decision making.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Significant experience in designing aerospace structures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers.
• US citizenship or permanent resident with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design primary and secondary aerospace structures and systems.
• Lead teams through concept, prototyping, analysis, drafting and testing.
• Create CAD models and presentations for customers.
• Communicate across engineering disciplines to support decisions.
• Develop materials such as BOMs and installation procedures; optimize weight.
