Job summary

RTX is hiring for a CSE engineer in the US to design and support compressor components across the full product lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope and schedules, and drive engineering changes to mitigate risk and cost.

The role requires a engineering degree and 5+ years in defense/aerospace, with US citizenship. Onsite work at the Middletown, CT site with ~10% travel. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years’ relevant experience in Defense/Aerospace or related industries, OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Composite design support across all phases of the design cycle, preliminary through detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and operational service.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects by managing scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to achieve program milestones on time and within budget.
• Lead engineering change execution, risk assessments, and mitigation planning to reduce cost, schedule, and technical exposure across the project lifecycle.
• Assist in manufacturing process development at suppliers and ensure the manufacturability of component designs, documenting and presenting results to management and external customers
• Travel: ~10% Travel is anticipated
