Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas is seeking experienced composite technicians to manufacture aerospace-grade parts and assemblies. You will work along the entire manufacturing line from layup to cure, using carbon, glass and Kevlar materials.

The role demands 8+ years in composite fabrication, strong problem-solving, mentoring teammates, and familiarity with AS9100 environments. You will contribute to efficiency improvements and support engineering during tooling design and production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of composite manufacturing experience, aerospace preferred.
• Advanced expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build flight-critical or high-complexity hardware.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous craftsmanship.
• Proficient with pneumatic tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
• Experience in AS9100 or similarly regulated environment.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all steps in making aerospace-grade composite parts from raw materials to finished components.
• Conduct bonding operations, lamination, and cure cycles per specifications.
• Handle materials and tooling per AS9100 guidelines and safety requirements.
• Support con-ops and tooling design meetings for future products.
• Drive efficiency projects and contribute to design improvements with engineering.
