Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking a working level maintenance professional to oversee bonding and assembly operations on aerospace components. The role requires hands-on maintenance, training under direct supervision, and strict adherence to approved data and quality standards.

You will bond dissimilar materials, lay out parts, operate autoclaves and ovens, and mentor a team of technicians while ensuring safety and compliance with FAA data and repair station procedures.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand English fluently.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance data.
• Ability to navigate and read drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials into semifinished or finished products.
• Lays out articles, cuts parts or materials to size.
• Applies liquid or solid bonding agents.
• Performs bagging and debulking processes.
• May operate autoclave, hot bonders, and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
• Controls heat, pressure, and timing per specifications.
• Sands, deburrs, and smooths areas; applies sealing resins to edges.
• Monitors and verifies quality of finished product.
• Completes repairs on bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.
• Ensure personnel under supervision perform maintenance per approved data.
• Coach & mentor employees on proper maintenance techniques.
• Communicate needs to supervisor/manager.
• Process maintenance forms and authorize after work completion.
• Be familiar with Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals.
• Notify QA Director of suspected un-airworthy conditions.
• Assure all parts from stock are properly identified.
• Ensure shelf-life materials are current or properly dispositioned.
• Work in accordance with aircraft standards and FAA data.
• Oversees maintenance practices for approximately 10 technicians Max.
