Job summary

Synopsys is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to solve complex defense challenges, deploying Digital Mission Engineering software and integrating Ansys tools into customer workflows.

You will lead on-site demonstrations, develop automation scripts, and translate field feedback into product roadmaps while collaborating with account managers and product teams. A TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Experience applying engineering software in a customer-facing role (application engineering, consulting, or technical support).
• Ability to design integration code and automation to connect simulation tools into customer workflows.
• Clear communication of complex system-level tradeoffs to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in technical discovery, product demonstrations, training, and POC evaluations for DME software with aerospace/defense customers.
• Deploy software on-site, implement best practices, and solve mission simulation and systems engineering problems.
• Develop integration scripts and UIs in Python, C++, Java, or MATLAB to connect Ansys tools to customer workflows.
• Collaborate with account managers to identify growth opportunities and translate customer requirements into value propositions.
• Work with product teams to translate feedback into roadmaps and test new releases against use cases.
• Deliver training and consulting to help customers adopt MBSE, design optimization, and simulation process management.
• Support field marketing by attending conferences and representing the company in the aerospace/defense community.
