Job summary

Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) seeks an experienced aerospace systems engineer to lead technical activities across the sales lifecycle, applying Digital Mission Engineering and high-fidelity modeling to customers in aerospace and defense. You will collaborate across teams, guide DoD customers, and contribute to solution architectures and training.

The role requires a DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years in an engineering software environment.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys or other engineering tools (mission simulation, MSBE, optimization, CAD).
• Programming in C, C++, C#, Java, MATLAB, Python or scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and ongoing post sales support.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on Ansys product offerings to increase sales opportunities and customer adoption.
• Work closely with customers to understand system-level engineering requirements and analyze solutions using Ansys DME products.
• Develop and implement holistic system-level solutions by integrating model-based systems engineering, digital mission engineering, and core physics analysis.
• Collaborate with the Account team and customers to integrate high-fidelity analytical models into system-level workflows.
• Support product development by translating customer feedback into new features and testing product releases.
• Partner with sales teams to strategize, execute approaches that maximize sales objectives and customer satisfaction, and teach training classes.
• Design and develop programming user interfaces, automation scripts, and integration code to support customer applications.
• Work onsite 3 days a week with customers to implement best practices and solve real-world engineering problems.
• Contribute to field and digital marketing efforts, author conference presentations, and support business development initiatives.
