Job summary

Synopsys Inc. is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to lead Digital Mission Engineering initiatives with defense customers. You will deploy software onsite, build integration scripts, and translate customer needs into actionable roadmaps with strong collaboration across teams.

The role requires programming skills (Python/C++/C#/Java/MATLAB), DoD clearance, and travel up to 25%. You will engage with stakeholders from technical staff to executives to drive impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as application engineering, consulting, or technical support.
• Programming ability in Python, C++, C#, Java, or MATLAB.
• This position requires US citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
• Experience with Digital Mission Engineering software (STK, ODTK, TETK) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist in technical discovery, product demonstrations, training, and proofs-of-concept for Digital Mission Engineering software with aerospace and defense customers.
• Work onsite with customers to deploy software, implement best practices, and solve mission simulation and systems engineering problems.
• Design and develop integration code, automation scripts, and UIs in Python, C++, Java, or MATLAB to connect Ansys tools into customer workflows.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and drive growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Partner with product teams to translate field feedback into roadmap priorities and test new releases against industrial use cases.
• Deliver training sessions and consulting engagements for MBSE, design optimization, and simulation process management.
• Support field marketing by attending industry conferences and representing the company in aerospace and defense communities.
