Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer III for New Glenn in the Greater Seattle Area. You will develop aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic designs for atmospheric flight and transitions, and support flight operations from concept through sustaining engineering.

The role requires 4+ years in space vehicle aerodynamics/aerothermodynamics, strong CFD and data automation skills, and US work eligibility. Travel to Huntsville or Denver may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 4+ years in space vehicle aerodynamics/aerothermodynamics or flight mechanics.
• Strong fundamentals across subsonic to hypersonic regimes; hands-on CFD experience.
• Experience with CFD workflow from CAD to post-processing and data automation.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the US (citizenship/immigration dependent on site).

Responsibilities

• Develop aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic models for launch and reentry systems.
• Build and validate flight mechanics/dynamics models using analytical and numerical methods.
• Create data-driven CFD pipelines and automate workflow tasks across tools.
• Support wind tunnel and flight testing data reduction and analysis.
