Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain large-scale AEM-based web platforms for the Allina Health account. You will develop backend OSGi services, Sling models, HTL components, while delivering Headless AEM solutions and GraphQL APIs, collaborating with UX, analytics, QA, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years equivalent software development experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across full stack web development.
• 3+ years of AEM development experience (AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service).
• 3+ years of experience with Java, OSGi frameworks, Apache Sling, and JCR APIs.
• 3+ years of frontend web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design).
• 2+ years of experience building custom AEM components using HTL/Sightly, dialogs, client libraries, OSGi services, and servlets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom fullstack AEM solutions using Java, OSGi, Apache Sling, JCR, HTL, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build AEM components, page templates, dialogs, client libraries, OSGi services, servlets, and workflows.
• Implement Headless AEM solutions using Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate AEM with enterprise backend applications, RESTful services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize web application performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and responsive interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and CI/CD delivery.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions with responsible use of AI.
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows and automate tasks.
• Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and innovation.
