Job summary

State Street in Boston seeks an experienced Advisory Business Strategy & Intelligence professional to help clients across wealth management, institutional, retirement, and intermediary relationships. You will translate insights into practical guidance and lead complex initiatives with senior stakeholders.

Successful candidates bring 6+ years in wealth management or related consulting, a bachelor’s degree, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, financial-services consulting, advisory strategy, practice management, investor or industry intelligence, asset management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience advising wealth management firms, financial advisors, intermediary organizations, or related financial services businesses on strategic, practice management, client-engagement, growth, or operating challenges.
• Strong consulting and problem-solving capability, including the ability to diagnose ambiguous business issues, develop a point of view, challenge assumptions, and translate thinking into practical recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives independently and engage credibly with senior clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior advisory and practice management engagements with wealth management firms, financial advisors, and other financial-services clients by diagnosing complex challenges, shaping the problem, and helping clients move toward practical decisions and action.
• Drive investor and industry intelligence initiatives from strategic positioning through interpretation, synthesis, point of view, and application.
• Create differentiated intellectual capital and advisory solutions that combine evidence, industry perspective, and advisory judgement to produce original thinking and client-ready resources.
• Take point on complex initiatives with autonomy, coordinating work from stakeholder briefings through market release and sales enablement.
• Strengthen practice management and advisory thinking by applying senior judgement to frameworks and methodologies and partnering on solution development.
• Represent the team credibly with senior clients and internal stakeholders through consultations, workshops, and executive discussions.
• Create leverage across the team by providing coaching and enabling ownership.
