Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer in Torrance, CA. The role involves leading architecture, design, and integration of complex aerospace systems, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and strict adherence to quality standards.

You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work on a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required for the first 90 days. A STEM Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in mechanical systems engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture, design, and integration for complex aerospace systems.
• Drive end-to-end systems engineering activities, including requirements flow-down, design, verification, and validation.
• Provide technical leadership across control systems integration, test and development equipment, and field issue investigation and resolution.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program and project management, and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs align with Honeywell Aerospace quality standards and industry best practices.
