Job summary

Molex is seeking an AQP Engineer to work with the Product Development Team to use AQP tools, mitigate risk, and ensure flawless launches that meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.

The role involves leading quality plans, FMEA, and measurement system analysis, with collaboration across plant quality teams and suppliers. Domestic/international travel is required, and the compensation range is $90,000–$110,000 with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years experience in Quality Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years knowledge of statistics with Minitab or similar software.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of metrology and GD&T.
• Travel ability domestically and internationally (5%-10%).
• Training in DOE and advanced quality planning tools including DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, reliability test plans.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the project Quality Plan for new products and modifications focuses on the voice of the customer and all QA deliverables are completed on time.
• Facilitate front-end product/tool/assembly design; conduct process flow reviews and design/process FMEA with inputs on quality history and lessons learned.
• Manage measurement plans and methods; lead disposition of new products at FOT and qualification; own gauges and inspection fixtures.
• Work with Manufacturing AQP or QE to conduct Safe Launch; perform quality audits to qualify new production processes and ensure control plans are followed.
• Assist in operator training and guidance with Process Engineering and Operations.
• Ensure customer-required documentation for acceptance of new products is completed.
• Review and approve supplier documentation for new components; ensure supplier quality compliance.
• Lead 8D problem solving and analysis for new product related complaints; drive continuous improvement in Product Development Processes.
• Follow Principle Based Management, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO and EH&S standards; participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap and improve throughput.
• Perform other duties as required.
