Job summary

Indorama Ventures in Port Neches, TX seeks a Process Control Engineer to support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing control applications. You will develop, tune, and implement control strategies to optimize production, quality, and energy use, while assuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with engineers on projects, provide training to operators, and participate in MOC/PHA activities to maintain world-class process control standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of process controls/operations experience in petrochemical/refining.
• Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and MS Office programs.
• Experience with DCS/PLC systems such as Foxboro IA, DeltaV, Triconex, GE Fanuc.

Responsibilities

• Support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing process control assets.
• Develop, modify and tune control strategies for assigned units.
• Provide basic control and Advanced Control for multi-variable controllers.
• Develop new control strategies for projects or products.
• Monitor units and assist process engineering to meet production and energy goals.
• Support design, installation and maintenance of PLCs and SIS.
• Lead PSM MOC, participate in PHA/LOPA studies and incident investigations.
• Train operators on process controls and changes.
• Collaborate with project engineers on FATs and offsite tests.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, health, environment and responsible care requirements.
