Job summary
Indorama Ventures is seeking a Process Control Engineer to support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing control applications. You will develop and tune control strategies, provide advanced control for multi-variable systems, and support design, installation, and maintenance of PLCs and safety systems.
This role requires 5+ years in petrochemical/process engineering and proficiency with DCS/PLC platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of process/controls experience in petrochemical or refining facilities.
- Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance process control applications and assets in assigned units.
- Develop, modify, and tune control strategies for improved operations.
- Provide basic control assistance and Advanced Control for multi-variable controllers.
- Develop new control strategies for new projects or products.
- Monitor unit operations to meet production, quality, and energy targets.
- Support PLCs, automation systems, and Safety Instrumented Systems maintenance.
- Lead alarm management and participate in MOC, PHA, IPL studies where applicable.
- Train operators on control strategies and changes.
