Hamilton Physician Group in Dalton, GA seeks an advanced medical practitioner (PA or NP) to take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order tests, and provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings in collaboration with a supervising physician.

The role emphasizes patient education, pre- and post-operative care, and may involve assisting in surgery, hospital rounds, and coordinating discharge plans. Licensure and leadership skills are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Licensed or eligible for PA/NP licensure in Georgia.
• BLS/CPR required by AHA or Red Cross.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in AP roles.
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Leadership and sound clinical judgment essential.
• Strong communication with patients and health care team.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order/interpret tests.
• Prescribe medications and provide pre/post-operative education and care.
• Assist in surgery, participate in hospital rounds, and discharge planning.
