Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate manufacturing feasibility for new designs and changes, and to develop process flows and plant layouts in Novi, MI. You will define required capital equipment and tooling, oversee procurement and budget, and drive implementation and training in the production environment.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, with willingness to travel to customer sites and plants.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and plants.
• BSME/BSMET or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) for manufacturing feasibility of designs and changes.
• Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.
• Review gaging and packaging strategies and assess impact on manufacturing strategy.
• Define capital equipment and tooling and manage budget adherence.
• Project manage procurement and acceptance of required equipment and tooling.
• Facilitate implementation of production equipment/tooling and provide training.
• Complete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks.
• Assess ergonomic concerns and resolve action items.
• Support customer part needs through pilot, testing, and run-at-rate sign-offs.
• Create and support continuous improvement projects.
