Job summary

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and analytical problem solving.
• Experience with workflow, line balance and takt time.
• Experience with AutoCAD, PLCProgramming, and Automation.
• Leadership of DOE and data-driven studies experience.
• Six Sigma, Lean, Continuous Improvement training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns.
• Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.
• Review product gaging and packaging strategies and assess their impact on manufacturing strategy.
• Define capital equipment and tooling and manage program budgets.
• Project manage procurement and acceptance of equipment and tooling.
• Facilitate implementation of production equipment/tooling and associated training.
• Complete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks.
• Assess strategies for ergonomic concerns and resolve action items.
• Support customer parts through pilot, testing, run-at-rate and internal process sign-offs.
• Create and support continuous improvement projects.

Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Provide direct input to the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) by doing the following:
1. Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns.
2. Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.
3. Review product gaging and packaging strategies and assess the impact of those assumptions on the overall manufacturing strategy.
4. Define capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of the program.
5. Project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling.
6. Facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility and any corresponding technical training.
7. Complete Process FMEAand manage RPN risks.
8. Assess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manage action items to resolve.
9. Support customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate and internal processsign offs.
10. Create and support continuous improvement projects.

Requirement
Education/Major Bachelors ofScience Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Engineering Technology required (BSME or BSMET or similar)

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar
• Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing (Tier One Automotive interiors experience preferred, not required)
• Candidates must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance.
• Candidate must have experience communicating at multiple levels internally and externally
• Mechanical aptitude and analytical problem solving

• Experience with AutoCAD, PLCProgramming, and Automation
• Leadership of DOE and data driven studies experience
