Job summary

Yanfeng is seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the SDT in North America. The role involves providing feasibility assessments for product design changes, developing process flow and plant layouts, and reviewing gauging and packaging strategies to optimize the overall manufacturing plan.

Responsibilities include defining and managing capital equipment, tooling budgets, and leading procurement, installation, and training.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Engineering Technology required (BSME/BSMET or similar).
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar.
• Experience in Automotive manufacturing is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns.
• Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.
• Review product gauging and packaging strategies and assess impact on manufacturing strategy.
• Define capital equipment and tooling and manage program budget.
• Project manage procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling.
• Facilitate implementation of production equipment/tooling and provide training.
• Complete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks.
• Assess ergonomic concerns and drive action items to resolution.
• Support customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate and internal sign-offs.
• Create and support continuous improvement projects.
