Job summary

Edwards Vacuum seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to advance our most demanding processes across automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing. You will lead TRL assessments, define specifications, and drive production-ready solutions with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost reduction.

Collaborating with NPI, Operations, Quality, IT and suppliers, you will shape multi-year technology strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.

Responsibilities

Identify, assess, and develop advanced manufacturing technologies in areas such as industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, digital manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and data analytics
Lead Technology Readiness Level assessments and manage technologies from concept through pilot validation to industrial deployment
Lead automation projects and new machinery from definition through validation, installation, and production stabilization with focus on safety, quality, productivity and reliability
Develop and implement digital manufacturing solutions that improve process visibility, data accuracy, traceability, equipment utilization, and data-driven decision-making
Deliver measurable improvements by reducing cycle time, waste, manual handling, process variation, and manufacturing cost while improving OEE and quality
Develop and maintain a multi-year advanced manufacturing technology plan aligned with business priorities and product strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to implement effective manufacturing solutions
