Job summary

Yanfeng, a leading global automotive supplier, seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to drive feasibility studies, process flow, tooling, and continuous improvement in its US operations. You will collaborate across product design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure robust production readiness.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/related field, 5+ years in industrial engineering or tooling, plus experience with AutoCAD, PLCs and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Engineering Technology (BSME/BSMET or similar).
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar.
• Automotive/manufacturing experience preferred (Tier One interiors).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to inspire improvement.
• Experience communicating at multiple levels internally and externally.
• Mechanical aptitude and analytical problem solving.
• Knowledge of workflow, line balance and takt time.
• Experience with AutoCAD, PLC Programming, and Automation.
• Leadership of DOE and data-driven studies.
• Six Sigma, Lean, Continuous Improvement training or experience.
• Familiar with product lifecycle from development to production.
• Understands and improves documented manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns.
• Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.
• Review product gaging and packaging strategies and assess impact on manufacturing strategy.
• Define capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to budget.
• Project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling.
• Facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility and any corresponding technical training.
• Complete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks.
• Assess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manage action items to resolve.
• Support customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate and internal process sign offs.
• Create and support continuous improvement projects.

Main Responsibilities

Requirement

Education/MajorBachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Engineering Technology required (BSME or BSMET or similar)

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar
• Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing (Tier One Automotive interiors experience preferred, not required)
• Candidates must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance.
• Candidate must have experience communicating at multiple levels internally and externally
