Job summary

Yanfeng seeks a Process Technician/Engineer with 2–5 years in injection molding to drive process standards, troubleshoot issues, and manage equipment buy-offs in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will mentor process technicians and mold setters, analyze data for cost reductions, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance in the plant environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 minimum years of experience with injection molding presses 85-3200 tons.
• At least 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites and plants.
• Master-root cause troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Experience with valve gate, hot runner systems, and scientific molding.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and direct Process Technicians with training and evaluation.
• Develop and maintain process standards for all parts.
• Review production records and resolve technical processing issues.
• Follow action plans for processes out of range.
• Specify project management and buy-off of new equipment.
• Explore new materials and processes for quality, process, and reliability.
• Motivate and train mold setters with appropriate training.
• Verify narrow process ranges to meet customer expectations.
• Compile data to assist budget and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with tool shops for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation with timely updates on projects.

Supervisory Capacity: No Supervisory Responsibilities

• Motivate and provide direction to the Process Technicians ensuring appropriate directions, training, and evaluation.
• Develop and maintain the process standards in which all parts are manufactured.
• Review production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues.
• Follow established action plans for processes out of range.
• Specify project management and buy off of new equipment.
• Manage exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability.
• Motivate and train the mold setters, ensuring appropriate training and evaluation.
• Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum processes to meet customer expectations.
• Manage exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability.
• Compile data and analyse past and current information in order to assist in the preparation of the budget and reduce operational costs.
• Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects.

Required Education Level:
Bachelor's Level Degree
Area of Study: Plastics / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering, Technology Degree or similar.
*Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):
2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Injection Molding with presses ranging from 85-3200 tons.
At least 2 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

• RJG Master Molder 1 and Master Molder 2 training.
• Problem solving training.
