Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Senior Advanced Engineering Technician in Scottsdale, AZ, to lead hands-on development, testing, fabrication, and integration of advanced electromechanical systems. You will mentor technicians, troubleshoot complex hardware, and collaborate with engineering teams on next-generation programs.

The role requires an Active Secret clearance, a strong background in electronics and electromechanical systems, and a contract-to-direct employment path with competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electronics/engineering technology.
• 5+ years supporting engineering development, testing, fabrication, assembly, integration, or troubleshooting.
• 5+ years interpreting complex drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• 5+ years performing system-level and component-level troubleshooting.
• 5+ years building, modifying, calibrating, installing, or maintaining electronic/electromechanical/test systems.
• 5+ years working with engineering specifications, standards, and technical requirements.
• Ability to identify technical issues, develop solutions, and execute corrective actions independently.

Responsibilities

• Support prototype electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians on technical processes, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and interface documentation.
• Perform system-level and component-level troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Build, calibrate, adjust, install, maintain, and modify equipment, components, devices, and systems.
• Conduct testing, checkout, integration, and verification activities using engineering documentation and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development and system improvements.
