KAIROS, Inc is seeking a Senior Advana Developer to design, develop, and operate scalable data ingestion and integration pipelines across DoD-adjacent data sources. You will work with data stewards, system owners, and governance teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Advana, War Data Platform, and Jupiter, plus a strong DoD background.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, data engineering, data analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, operations research, software engineering, and/or other technical/engineering/mathematical degree fields.
Experienced platform engineer familiar with DoD NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS architecture.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and data management for DoD and Commercial systems.
5 or more years of DoD experience supporting large-scale data engineering, data automation, and application development efforts using Advana and SIPR, SIPR, and/or JWICS environments.
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams within DoD operating environments.

KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Senior Advana Developer, to join our team.

This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable data ingestion and integration pipelines that acquire, transform, validate, and operationalize data from authoritative and mission-critical sources within the enterprise data environment. The position collaborates closely with data stewards, source system owners, architects, engineers, and governance teams to assess new data sources, define technical requirements, ensure data quality, and support compliance with data governance, security, and metadata standards. The individual also monitors and optimizes pipeline operations, troubleshoots technical issues, implements automation and reusable integration patterns, and communicates project status and risks to stakeholders to improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise data onboarding efforts.

Primary Duties:

Data Pipeline Development: Collaborate with Jupiter’s data connections team to design, develop, and implement scalable data ingestion and integration solutions to acquire, transform, validate, and operationalize data from multiple authoritative and mission data sources.
Technical Collaboration: Collaborate directly with data stewards, source system owners, data engineers, architects, and governance teams to understand source structures, data quality considerations, access constraints, and technical requirements for successful onboarding.
Data Assessment: Perform technical assessments of new data sources, including schema analysis, data profiling, mapping, transformation requirements, lineage, and data quality validation, to support reliable integration into the enterprise data environment.
Technical Compliance: Support completion and technical validation of data governance artifacts and onboarding documentation, ensuring appropriate metadata, lineage, access controls, security requirements, and data handling rules are incorporated into implemented solutions.
Pipeline Operations & Scalability: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and onboarding activities, identify technical blockers and dependencies, communicate status to program leadership, and implement reusable patterns and automation to improve the speed, reliability, and scalability of future data acquisitions.

Skills and Qualifications:

Hands-on development experience within Advana, War Data Platform, and/or Jupiter environment with strong knowledge of the platform’s architecture, data integration, governance model, and development workflows
Strong experience designing and developing scalable ingestion, transformation, integration, and validation pipelines for large complex data sources.
Experience with schema mapping, metadata, lineage data quality, authoritative source integration, access controls, and implementation of governance requirements within technical solutions.
Ability to work directly with data stewards, source system owners, architects, and platform teams to analyze source data, resolve ingestion and access issues, troubleshoot pipelines, and move data from initial acquisition through production.
Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills

Clearance:

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Compensation:

While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $155,000to$205,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
