Job summary

SunSoftOnline seeks a qualified Administrative Law Judge to preside over administrative hearings for AZDES. The role is fully remote and involves evaluating evidence, interpreting statutes, and issuing legally binding decisions.

Applicants should have a JD, active bar admission, and 2–3+ years of hearing experience. Proficiency with MS Teams/Zoom and electronic case management is expected.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law (Arizona State Bar preferred).
• Minimum 2–3+ years of experience conducting administrative hearings or writing decisions.
• Proficiency with remote hearing tools, word processing, and electronic case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Preside over administrative hearings via teleconference or video conferencing.
• Evaluate evidence, administer oaths, and analyze testimony.
• Draft findings of fact, conclusions of law, and final decisions.
• Maintain efficient case flow and document proceedings in tracking systems.
• Ensure due process and procedural fairness for all parties.
