Responsibilities

• Partners with the Department Chair to develop, implement, and evaluate the strategic plan for the CAMC Department of Internal Medicine.
• Translates departmental goals into measurable clinical, operational, financial, and academic objectives.
• Coordinates strategic planning and operational activities across the divisions of Internal Medicine.
• Advises the Department Chair on performance, opportunities for growth, and organizational risks.
• Leads development, expansion, consolidation, or redesign of clinical programs and services.
• Promotes alignment of departmental priorities with CAMC, Vandalia Health, and the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine.
• Represents the department on CAMC committees and strategic initiatives.
• Oversees administrative operations to improve patient access, scheduling, workflows, and coordination of services.
• Develops and monitors performance measures related to access, volumes, productivity, and efficiency.
• Leads staffing models and workforce engagement, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
