Genworth is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant in Richmond, VA, offering a hybrid work model with in-office days Tue–Thu and remote days as needed. The role supports senior IT leaders with calendar management, travel, expense processing, and presentation preparation.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a senior administrative assistant.
  • Ability to process large amounts of information daily and summarize details for executives.
  • Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other administrative assistants to manage senior leaders’ calendars.
  • Professionally manage incoming requests from internal and external customers.
  • Enhance productivity by organizing schedules and pre-read materials for key meetings.
  • Coordinate meetings and events; manage logistics for meetings and offsite events.
  • Manage expenses and expense reconciliation for managers in line with policy.
  • Set up Purchase Requisitions & POs, pay memberships and related items.
  • Arrange travel for senior leaders including airfare and hotel.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations per business requirements.
  • Respond to emails and voicemails promptly and professionally.
  • Organize and maintain departmental records and documentation.
  • Provide administrative backup for other departments as needed.
  • Assist with projects and onboarding new associates/contractors.

POSITION TITLE

Senior Administrative Assistant

POSITION LOCATION

This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond, VA hybrid or in-office applicants.

  • A Hybrid schedule of both Remote and In-Office days is required. In office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with working hours targeting our core business hours of 9am-5pm EST.
YOUR ROLE

In this role, you will provide administrative support to senior leaders in IT Organization. Ideal candidates will exhibit a high level of professionalism and integrity, confidentiality, superb communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail.

What you will be doing:
  • Collaborate with other administrative assistants to effectively manage senior leaders’ calendars
  • Professionally manage incoming requests for senior leaders from internal and external customers
  • Enhance productivity for senior leaders’ staff by organizing schedule and pre-read materials for key meetings
  • Coordinate meetings and events; schedule and manage logistics for meetings, offsite events, and other activities
  • Manage expenses and expense reconciliation for managers in compliance with organizational policies
  • Set-up and manage Purchase Requisitions & POs, pay subscriptions/memberships (e.g., professional dues) and other administrative process-related items
  • Arrange travel for senior leaders including airfare, hotel, expense reimbursement, etc.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations in compliance with business requirements
  • Exhibit superior customer service by responding to emails and voicemails promptly and comprehensively
  • Organize and maintain departmental records and documentation
  • Provide administrative back-up for other departments as needed
  • Assist with projects as needed
  • Assist with onboarding new associates/contractors
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience as a senior administrative assistant
  • Ability to effectively process a large amount of information daily with the capability to spot important topics and make connections between disparate items.
  • Must filter information with a keen judgment of relevancy and urgency and often provide high level summaries of critical information to executive.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills with an emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional communication skills, confidence, and professional presence
  • Highest level of integrity and the ability to ensure security of confidential information
  • Proactive, proven good judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written communication and proof-reading skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong interest in learning new tasks
  • Flexibility within a changing environment
Additional Information
National Range: $50,00 - $73,000

This role is aligned to a national market-based pay range. Actual compensation will vary based on geographic location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan. Incentive compensation is based on individual and company performance and is not guaranteed.
